I do not like pushing 400TX but short days and cloud cover make it impossible to get an aperture that will facilitate manual focus. I was shooting mainly at F2.8 and F4.0 while maintaining a shutter speed of 1/500th of a second. I was using the Nikon FA and aperture priority, with the Nikon 50mm 1.8 Series E Lens attached. I developed the film in HC-110(1:31) for 6 minutes @20C.
Your street photography always flabbergasts me. I don’t know how you do it. Do you just walk up to people and take their picture?

Yes, I walk up to people and take their picture. It It is not something I planned on doing when I first did street photography. I found it came naturally. I love faces.

What kind of reactions do you get from the people? Does anybody strongly object? If so, what do you do?

I have very few problems. I try to keep my body language non threatening and my radar can usually spot someone who might be a problem or would be uncomfortable with the shot. Once in awhile someone comes up to me and asks why they were not chosen when they see me taking an image of someone. I do have the occasional person who gets upset but then I say I will not use the image or if digital I will erase the image. Many people do not know you can take images of others on the street. One of the things that makes it easier is the density of people. Parts of Seattle have lots of people on the street and I think many just do not take notice or have the time to deal with me. I could not do this in a small town.
