Early Monday morning, I went downtown with my Pentax 645, loaded with Kodak Portra 800 color film. If you visit Olympia, you will find the city still has areas from the early and mid-twentieth century. These areas provide a great opportunity to shoot color film. Portra is a great film to highlight the nuances of color in the urban environment.

I developed the film in Cinestill’s Cs41. The time in the developer was 4 minutes, 10 seconds, at 102 degrees Fahrenheit. It was the 9th roll developed in the current batch of chemicals. I scanned the negatives with the Epson V850 using Silverfast software.
