Last week, my wife spent a few days at Swedish Hospital (Cherry Hill Campus) in Seattle, in the Capitol Hill Neighborhood. I could shoot for about an hour on Thursday, so I took my Pentax 645 loaded with Kodak Portra 800 and shot these images.

I developed the film in Cinestill’s Cs-41 chemistry. The negatives were scanned with the Epson V850 using Silverfast software.

There is no story tying the images together. Just some free time with a camera and some color film.

No story, but words in every photograph. The first photograph has a hint of inclusion. Great framing work again. Nice to see you getting success with these self developed colour negatives. All the best.

I am on my third batch of chemicals (21 color rolls developed so far). It is becoming easier as I learn the nuance of temperature management. My wife is now using a fountain pen when journaling.

Itās good that you are still finding successes in new found avenues of film photography. Keeps the old methods of photography alive. Alongside the enormous possibilities of your scanners and printing results, it sounds like a marriage made in heaven. I did like your last black and white post too with necessary narrow depth of field. Using the immediacy of household products and giving them a different viewpoint was interesting. Made the mundane everyday turn into a mindful exercise. How often do we pick these daily items up, simply use them quickly, but never truly study them? Your wife using a fountain pen has brought a smile. Itās so nice to see how much impact your taking up this medium yourself is making. And journalling? Thatās a fine pursuit too. All the best.
