If you drink any type of beer, you probably have enjoyed the benefits of hops grown in Yakima Valley in Washington State. 75% of the hops used in the United States are from the area.

September and Early October is the time of year to harvest the vines. You can travel to Yakima and attend the Hop Festival this weekend if you are not busy. (https://freshhopalefestival.com/)

And then there are apples the apples…

Yakima County is the leading county in the nation in apple production, with over 55,000 acres of apple orchards producing premier apple varieties like Gala, Fuji, Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious and Honeycrisp as well as hundreds of antique apple varieties. https://extension.wsu.edu/yakima/crop-production/tree-fruits/

These images were captured with the Nikon F100, with the 35mm 1:2 and 28mm 1:2.8 D Lenses. The film was developed with Ilford ID-11 1/0 for 9 minutes, agitating every minute after the initial 30-second agitation. I also pre-rinsed the film for 1 minute before development. The negatives were scanned with the PrimeFilmXEs using VueScan software.

      1. It’s mainly an issue of time. I’m currently preparing two new books and a second edition of my book about belief, while studying for certifications in Chinese and computer security. Blogging regularly had to go on hold for a while. But I still enjoy your photos!

    1. I presoaked according to instructions..It is highly recommanded to presoak in water at least for one minute. The water should
be at the same temperature as process temperature. file:///Users/geography3/Downloads/BERGGER_PANCRO_400_DATASHEET%20(2).pdf

  1. You have chosen your positional stance really well on those depth photographs. Leads your eyes around the photographs too. A little observational journey! Hops remind me of those small stuffed pillows you keep near the bedside for aiding sleep. Hops and lavender were the smells I remember in synergy. All the best.
