I have been traveling for the past couple of weeks, passing through Eastern Oregon, Nevada, and Eastern California.

I have shot 10 rolls of film so far, with 8 different films.

Whereas in the Northwest your sight lines are limited due to all the trees and clouds, the areas I travelled through provide limitless vistas.

These images were created with the Nikon Z5, with either the Nikon Z 40mm F2 Lens or the Viltrox 20mm 2.8 Z Lens.

Despite the Vistas, you have still included fabulous ‘lead in’ inclusions. As your photographic skills and knowledge know, it’s these brilliant choices that take the eyes into and then around the scenery. Must be great travelling and experiencing different adventures. Cheers Steven.

How are you finding the Z5? I purchased one a few months ago.

It works well and the 2 SD card slots make it a good option for those who do not shoot professionally. I still want one of the Nikon Z cameras with more megapixels. If one depends on autofocus for important shots the camera can be irritating. The autofocus is the camera’s main liability.

The autofocus is a bit finnicky, yes. I sometimes have another issue. It’s rare enough not to have a big impact but I don’t know the cause. In one photo, where subject is mostly flat and I was far enough away that f5.6 should cover DOF, and shutter was at 1/1000 in good light, the top left corner is quite blurred. The rest of the frame is fine. Decentered element that only appears sometimes, IBIS issue? I’m not sure.
