It is late Spring. The Deciduous trees in the Pacific Northwest have joined the Conifers in displaying the different shades of green the area is noted for.

While greens dominate, sometimes flowers intervene and try to steal the glory.

New growth on Douglas Firs (Pseudotsuga menziesii) is a lighter shade of green, which will darken as the needles harden. These images were captured with the Pentax 645, with the 75mm F2.8 Lens attached. The film was developed in Cinestill’s C-41 kit. The negatives were scanned with the Epson V850, using VueScan software.
Nice. The mellow, soft light and the wet make these very Pacific NW scenes.

The area wakes up when there is clouds and moisture present.
