We are now shooting film, Kodak Portra 400. The images were captured with the Nikon FM3a using the Nikon Series E 50mm F1.8 and the Nikon 28mm F2.8D Lenses.
Most of the time, people have no idea I am focused on them, no matter how close.
And sometimes they realize… after the shot, she shrugged her shoulders and walked on. I developed the film in Cinestill’s C-41 kit. I scanned the images with the PrimeFilmXEs using VueScan software.
From the first time I shot on the street, I mainly concentrated on people. Others I was with would wait and create stories with people doing this and that. I wish I could do that consistently, but most times, if you give me a camera and put me in the city, I will automatically go up to people and capture their images.
