On Friday, I returned to Grass Lake Nature Reserve (https://stevenlawrencepictures.com/2025/01/03/bergger-pancro-400-grass-lake-nature-reserve-olympia-january-1/)

On my first visit, I noticed a large area that the current trails did not go to. Construction was also occurring to create new trails, one of which would be asphalt and ADA-accessible (https://wildliferecreation.org/projects/grass-lake-nature-park-trail-construction/). The new trail would provide access to that large area not currently served, connecting it with a maintenance road, the Sewer Line Road. That road will now be upgraded and paved. So, I found the road and walked along it.

There were markers alongside the road. I suppose they have to do with the widening and other information on what is happening.

Much of the road lies immediately next to an area of wetlands, an area that is completely submerged in the rainy months.

The construction of this boardwalk will connect the two sides of the reserve.

The remainder of the road goes through a dark, forested area. The camera used was the Nikomat EL with the Nikkor-S Auto 1.4 50mm Lens attached. I pushed the film one stop and developed it with Diafine. I scanned the negatives with the PrimeFilmXEs using VueScan.
