Yesterday, I spent the day in Seattle, shooting two rolls of film with my new 50mm lens. Last week, I shot two rolls of film in Olympia to get acquainted with the lens’s focusing and see how narrow the area of focus would be under specific conditions.

I stopped by a gym while shooting. The first thing I noticed was a series of ropes. The ropes reminded me of an incident in high school. I was very slim and had little muscle mass. It was the first day of class with a particular gym teacher. He lined us up and gave each of us an opportunity to climb the rope. Over half the class could do it. That was the last time I tried it.

At first f/1.2 the line of focus is very thin.

I used the Nikon FM3a camera. I developed the film with the Cinestill C-41 kit. I scanned the images with the PrimeFilmXEs using Silverfast.
