It is an hour before sunset. The skies are clear, so the sun can work magic in parts of Kaiser Woods.

I was using one of my Pentax 645 cameras. I have three of them, though one is the 645N version.

I knew 2 of them needed repair. The Pentax 645N shutter dial is broken. The other 645 has a problem with the shutter button; it does not always fire when depressed. That camera also has a battery module, which does not work. I fixed that by using the battery module in the other 645. After developing these images, I found that the Pentax 645, which I thought worked fine, may also have a problem. Six of the fifteen images did not come out. There was not enough exposure to scan. I was being careful with exposure because of the time of day. Now I need to shoot another roll in the camera to see if I can duplicate the results. There is good news with all of this… I found someone in Portland, Oregon, who repairs the cameras (https://www.advancecamera.com/repair). The film was developed in HC-110(B) for 4 minutes @20C. I agitate briskly seven times for 5 seconds every 30 seconds. I scanned the film with the Epson V850 using the Epson proprietary software.

Now you have found someone to repair them, it will be good to see 645 captures that hold so much promise in film detailed results. If you have all three repaired, that would be glorious. The Pentax 645 is a very fine camera and worthy in keeping alive. All the best Steven.
