One of my favorite lenses is the Voigtlander Nokton 58mm F/1.4. Last Friday, I took my Nikon F4 with the lens attached to Kaiser Woods. The following images highlight why I enjoy the area.

Western Redcedar (Thuja plicata) https://dnr.wa.gov/sites/default/files/2025-03/lm_hcp_west_oldgrowth_guide_wrc_hires.pdf

Himalayan Blackberry (Rubus armeniacus). The blackberries are not ripe yet. They are a bit tart… perhaps in another week. They are considered a noxious weed (https://www.nwcb.wa.gov/weeds/himalayan-blackberry)

A young Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii)

Spear Thistle (Cirsium vulgare) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-j-swDL_acU

A Bigleaf Maple leaf from last year (Acer macrophyllum).

I developed the film in Rodinal (1:25) for 6 minutes at 20 °C, agitating 10 seconds every minute. I did a 2 minute presoak of the film. I scanned the negatives with the PrimeFilmXEs using SilverFast 9.
