Kaiser Woods is closed. In a few weeks, the rains will return, but until then, the fire hazard is too significant to allow people into the area.

So instead of Kaiser Woods, I drove over to the Capitol Forest area. There are a few hikes I plan to do this month in the area. The first, the Mima Falls East Trail, was done last Wednesday.

The trail is less than five miles long, and there is only 500 feet of elevation involved (https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/mima-falls-east-trail).

I hiked in the early morning and only saw one other hiker. I had with me the Nikon N2020, the Nikkor 50mm 1:1.2, and the Voigtlander Color-Skopar 28mm F2.8 lenses.

I pushed the film one stop and developed it in Rodinal (1:25) for 7 minutes at 20 °C. I scanned the negatives with the PrimeFilmXEs using SilverFast.

This is the area of the falls. There is only a trickle of water running now. Come back in a month.
