During my journey through the Great Basin, I managed to shoot 12 rolls of film. This is the eighth roll.

Most of the images in this collection were taken in Cedarville, California. Cedarville is situated in Surprise Valley, located west of the Warner Mountains in Northeast California.. The runoff from those mountains has created an aquifer under the valley. Cottonwood Trees thrive there (https://surprisevalleychamber.com/geology/SurpriseValley-GeologicFieldTripGuide-GailMahood-20080605.pdf).

These images were created using the Pentax 645N and 75mm f/2.8 lens. I developed the film in Cinestill’s C-41 developer. I scanned the film with the Epson V850 using VueScan.

This last image was created at Wright’s Point on Frenchglen Highway in Eastern Oregon, about 12 miles south of Burns, Oregon.
