I was not going to capture any images as I left my home last Saturday, late in the afternoon. It was cool and cloudy with intermittent showers.

I did have a camera with me, just in case inspiration struck, something I always do. And for the first two hours, I only walked and looked.

I then had a realization. Most of the deciduous trees are now bare, with their leaves scattered on the ground. And though the leaves have fallen, they are still beautiful.

These images were captured with the Nikon Nikkor Z 40mm F2 lens, attached to the Nikon Z5.
