Sometimes it is not possible to use the viewfinder to compose and shoot. In these situations, I zone focus. I set the lens to a certain aperture and focus to a certain distance on the lens at which that aperture and distance will provide a relatively good focus. The camera used here is the Nikon Df with a Voightlander 40mm F2 lens.
