On May 11 I posted my first attempt at shooting Adox CMS 20 III black and white film. I was trying to just have the light areas be prominent without much in the shadows. I used Rodinal (1:100) for 18 minutes agitating every 4 minutes. This time I used the developer recommended for the film, Adox Adotech III. I diluted it at 1:11 and the time was set at 10 minutes, 30 seconds. I shot the roll at 12 because most of what I read said so. I also noted that on very bright days 6 might be necessary. I agitated softly once every minute. I used a water stop bath the first time but this time I used Kodak Indicator Stop bath. I also changed my fixing time. Normally I fix for 4-6 minutes but this film should be fixed only from 30-60 seconds. I am not sure I have the patience to tweak this film. I have 2 more rolls of the film so I will try again. I used the Nikon F4 for these images. The lenses used were the Voigtlander 90mm 3.5, the Nikon 35F2 d lens, and the 24F2.8 d lens.
I really like the last 3, the shadows really stand out.
