The Vancouver Art Museum introduced me to Emily Carr. Her work on the Pacific Northwest has made her one of Canada’s great artists. I bought her autobiography. What is so compelling is the hard work and length of time it took before she developed her style. It is never easy. I am not young. I do not have years and years but perhaps I have enough time to finally create some compelling work.
Afterward, I walked around the city a bit with my Nikomat El and my Nikkor-S Auto 50mm 1.4 Lens with Kodak 400TX developed in HC-110(1:31) for 6 minutes.
