Grays Harbor County is a county in Western Washington that borders the Pacific Ocean. Elma, a small city in Grays Harbor County, is the location of the fairgrounds. Last night I went to the Grays Harbor County Fair. What I always gravitate to is the Agriculture Area where students from FFA (Future Farmers of America) and the 4-H Club (Head, Heart, Hands, and Health)are showing their animals. Both organizations are similar but whereas the FFA works directly with schools the 4-H Club is primarily an after-school association. It is here that I can have conversations with young people in their teens that I would never have anywhere else. They describe their work with passion, talk about their futures, and of course about the care of the animals they have raised.
All images were shot on the Nikon Df as jpegs. The lens used was the Nikon 50mm 1.8g.
