While at Glazer’s last week I saw a micro Nikkor lens. It was a 55mm 3.5 lens built in the early 60’s. The price was only $69. Over the weekend I took a Nikon F4 and loaded it with a roll of Kosmo Foto Mono film I had just received and put the new lens on the camera. I rarely use a micro lens, but I like the idea of getting closer than a traditional 50mm lens can. The barrel of the lens notes it can do 1:1 but that is only with an extension ring (PK-13). The closest the lens focuses is 9 ½ inches which is 1:2.
While out riding my bike I saw a classic Corvette Stingray (1967) in front of Capitol Corvette and Classics. I asked permission to shoot the car and they said it was okay. I developed the film using Rodinal (1:25) for 3 minutes, 30 seconds @20C.
The two images of the lens were taken with a Nikon V1 and 18.5 lens.
