I had a couple of hours before Karen and I were to see Mrs. Doubtfire at the 5th Avenue Theater in Seattle. It was cold, rainy, and very dark. Two cameras were in my bag, a Nikon 1 V1, with a 32mm 1.2 lens attached, and a Nikon FA, with the Voigtlander 40mm F2 lens attached. The FA was loaded with Kentmere 400, which I shot at 800, the V1 had an sd card in it. I have been shooting with Kodak 400TX lately but decided to give the Kentmere film an opportunity to show what it can do. I developed the roll in HC-110(1:31) for 8 minutes @20C and scanned it with an Epson V850 flatbed scanner. Most of the shots were taken at F2.8 which made manual focusing problematic. With the V1 I used autofocus. The day was not very successful, most of the people were aware of my presence. I am too obvious but perhaps this is where my work is heading. I have been shooting street photography for about 5 years and it will take another 5 years to figure out what I am trying to accomplish. I will continue to take my blood pressure and cholesterol medicine to give me an opportunity to be around for those 5 years and perhaps beyond.
Iād say it was a very good day.
