  1. OK, now I can “like” your post. Same browser. Same everything. Oh, well: if that’s our worst problem, we’re in great shape.

Nice photo! In college one year, I worked weekends as a night watchman at a department store, though not Macy’s. I worked two 16-hour shifts and one 8-hour shift. In those 40 hours, I had about three and a half hours of work to do — legitimately, I wasn’t slacking off. So I spent most of the time studying or doing homework. Once in a while I went up to the television department to watch reruns of “Star Trek.” There was a basketball court on the top floor (employees-only), so I occasionally shot hoops.

As for the door, “You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension: A dimension of sound. A dimension of sight. A dimension of mind. You’ve just crossed over into … The Department Store Zone.” 🙂

    1. Twilight Zone was one of my favorite programs. I loved the episodes that dealt with human nature. I am happy the site works properly now. As for the door… the door in front of the store is of course designed for the sale while the back, the one for employees is simple and inelegant
