It is time to start planning a desert trip. Some friends plan a trip to the Death Valley area in April when the average high is 90 degrees Fahrenheit. That is warm for hiking, so I will probably go a month sooner. Every year I make plans to create a descriptive photo journal of the flora I encounter, but when out in the desert, I become lazy and do not do it. Let us see what will happen this year. If I am successful, I will share the photos with you, and we can learn how plants thrive in stressful environments.
