On Friday, I went to a local camera garage sale. I saw a small SLR camera, the Nikon EM. It is straightforward to use. It has three settings: a bulb setting, auto (aperture priority), and a 1/90th of a second setting if using flash or the batteries are run down. I do not know why I did not know about this camera (https://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/gms/d/lacey-5th-annual-camera-photo-garage/7771700192.html).

I bought the camera for $60. It came with the 50mm Series E Lens. I went for a walk near my home to check it out. I loaded a roll of Ilford HP5+ and shot it at box speed. The camera has an ISO range of between 25 and 1600.

Focusing on the camera was easy. I usually do not like cameras that use the splitimage rangefinder spot, but I found the one on the camera to work well.

I developed the film in XTOL 1/0 for 8 minutes and 30 seconds. Then, I scanned it with the PrimeFilmXE using VueScan.
