Last week, I visited the South Central Oregon area, which includes the towns of Summer Lake, Paisley, and Lakeview. There are three lakes: Lake Abert, Summer Lake, and Goose Lake. The area comprises BLM, US Forest Service land, and large cattle ranches. You will see cattle and alfalfa fields throughout.

Trees exist only on the upper elevations or near a water source. The climate is harsh. Hot in the summer and very cold in the winter.

I love the area because of the quiet and solitude it provides. While the population density is low, it is difficult to find a location without some signs of human activity.

This time of year, Rabbitbrush (Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus) display beautiful yellow blossoms across the landscape (https://landscapeplants.oregonstate.edu/plants/chrysothamnus-viscidiflorus)

Along the highways and rural roads, you will find many abandoned homesteads.

I developed the film in HC-110(B) for 7 minutes @ 20C. Then, using VueScan, I scanned it with the Epson V850. I shot 6 rolls of film during the week. I am curious to see what I captured on those rolls.
