During winter, I shoot Kodak Tri-X with a one-stop push to 800. In the past, I always used HC-110(B) to develop it.

There is a possibility that Diafine will do a better job. I took my Nikomat EL with the Nikkor-S Auto 1:1.4 Lens attached around Olympia to test the hypothesis on Saturday afternoon.

So far, I am satisfied with the results. I scanned the negatives with the PrimeFilmXEs using Vuescan. Will Diafine replace HC-110 if I need to push the film? Stay tuned.

  1. This post and your last post have lovely inclusions. Wish I had your keen eye for the variety of captures you make. And of course your skills and knowledge are always great to read. The process as guidance is always welcomed. Cheers Steven.
