
I had a couple of rolls of Kodak Plus-X left, which is rated at 125. The film was discontinued in 2011. The rolls I have expired in June of 1982. This film would be a good test for the developer that I have been using for the last couple of weeks. The first roll I shot at 125 (box speed) and did not turn out well. Here is a sample…

So I decided to try shooting the next roll at ISO 32. Here are the results…







I shot these images with the Pentax 645N, with the 75mm F2.8 Lens attached. I developed the film in Cinestill Df96 for 7 minutes at 21 °C. I scanned the negatives with the Epson V850 using VueScan.

The frames at EI=32 look great for a 1982 film. It shows how durable B&W film can be. The Cinestill Df96 handled it well. I’m more and more impressed with the monobath.
