How would I feel if someone put a camera a couple of feet away from me and I heard the shutter? Depending on my mood, culture, and whatever else there is inside of me my reaction might be one of humor and, or of distaste. Perhaps I should ask first if they would consent to be photographed? But then what would happen to the spontaneity of the image? There would be none. So, do I want a real photograph or a staged photograph? The answer is the image above. Being liked is overrated anyway. Nikon F4 with Voigtlander 40mm lens. The film was Delta 400 developed in Tmax developer for 6 minutes 30 seconds.
