Last Friday I was leaving for Bob’s retirement party. I was not planning to do any photography. An hour before I left I thought about the lighting conditions of the party and decided it would be a good time to see how bad I was at using a rangefinder camera shooting people at 50mm. I have been lazy of late with my rangefinders. To become proficient, you need to practice regularly. I found some Kodak Tmax P3200 and loaded it into my Voigtlander R3M. Most of the shots were taken from between F2 and F2.8. The group shot was taken at F11. I used the 7artisans 50 1.1 lens and HC-110 to develop the film. I used dilution B(1:31) for 10 minutes, 30 seconds @20C. His dad was wearing a provocative ball cap and he and I had a bit of fun with it. His politics and mine did not prevent us from shaking hands and saying how much we both loved this country. He posed so I could get a good shot of it.
