The staging area can be a great way to see a parade. Everyone is excited and getting prepared for the big event. Last week in Olympia, the Christmas Parade was due to start at 3 o’clock in the afternoon so I arrived an hour early to see what I could capture. The parade has marching bands, different car clubs, service organizations, and of course Santa and his wife. I had my Nikon Df and my Nikon FA with the Nikon 50mm F2 Lens. I loaded the Nikon FA with Kodak Portra 400. I pushed the Portra 400 one stop but was not happy with the results.
