The place, Olympia, Washington. The date, January 19, 2018. The event, Woman’s March 2019. The color images were created by the Nikon Df and the Nikon 58 1.4G Lens. The black and white images were created with the Voigtlander R4M and 25F4 Lens. I used Kodak Tmax P3200 and developed the film in HC-110(1:31) for 10 minutes, 30 seconds @20C.
I see protest photos from the great Northwest fairly often through the photobloggers I follow from out your way. We are not protesting people here in the Midwest. Once in a great while it happens, but not nearly as often as it seems like y’all do out there. I wonder what the difference is.

I am not an authority of why but as regards the Woman’s March the city of Chicago had their event canceled. There are problems at the top of the movement at this time and this will need to be sorted out. Most people are not comfortable publicly participating in such events. The vast majority of people in the West do not participate. But the few voices that do go public want to make us think if but for a few moments of what changes we need to work on. You wrote a great peace including Penelope Trunk’s blog a few days ago how stories are still framed by our culture with a male bias.
