The title here is one of the definitions of the word aesthetic (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/aesthetic). Aesthetic is not a word one would use to describe the practice of clearcutting. I love trees and always feel uneasy when I pass a clearcut. I wish I could condemn the practice of harvesting trees but that would make me a hypocrite. Whether it be where I live or what I use daily, wood products have played a large part in my life.

As long as there is replanting, but when it’s just destruction for development and financial gain, that does make me feel angry.
Like the last image a lot, really brings home your concern.
