On my last trip to Oregon, I also spent a couple of days in the central part of the state. Lodgepole Pine, Ponderosa Pine, Jeffrey Pine, Douglas Fir, and Western Juniper are the primary trees in the area. On my return, I bought a book on trees that exist in Oregon. I want to know what I am looking at. I always have trouble keeping the names of the flora and fauna of any area in my memory. In September I am returning for a week to attend the Harney County Fair at Burns, Oregon. (https://www.co.harney.or.us/index.php/harney-county-fair-home/harney-county-fair) Harney County has a population of about 7300 and has had a total of 11 cases of Covid-19 and no new cases in the last 7 days. It will be interesting to see how the fair is handled. These images were created with the Pentax 645N. I developed the film with HC-110(B) for 4 minutes @20C.

Steve, you might want to think twice about attending the fair, or any other gatherings. Any population’s low rate of virus cases is because of their isolation. Do you really want to be the one that messes that up? Stick with the trees 😉

Oregon is my dream state of the US and I am not sure why that is so. Most likely films and books… I feel better among trees.

I love California, Nevada, and Oregon the best. Each state has its unique areas.
