These images are from the last color roll I took on my Great Basin trip last month. I took 3 rolls of color film, 2 were Kodak Pro Image 100, and the other was Kodak Portra 400. The images here were created with the Nikon FM2. The film was developed at Panda Labs in Seattle. I have a mild case of “cabin fever” and want to go back to the desert. I will need to find a good book to read.

All are beautiful! It’s hard to pick a favorite this time. Photo #1 reminds me of Mr. Miyagi’s advice against standing in the middle of the road. I like the color in #3, but I think I’m going to go with #5.
As for a good book, it depends on what you like. If you want a wonderful (and not too long) sci-fi novel, “What Mad Universe” by Fredric Brown is a classic. Similarly entertaining despite its title, “The Sinful Ones” is another thought-provoking sci-fi novel. For nonfiction that is also a delightful read, try “The Roots of American Order” by Russell Kirk. It shows how our culture grew from its roots in ancient Athens and Jerusalem, through Rome, the Middle Ages, the Enlightenment era, and up to about the mid-20th century. Modesty forbids me to mention my own most recent book, “Why Sane People Believe Crazy Things,” but I will anyway. 🙂
