Last Thursday, I took out my bike and my Pentax 645N and rode around the West Olympia area. It is an area of older homes with mature landscaping that provides many with a comfortable lifestyle in this cool, wet climate. My camera’s shutter dial broke a few months ago, and most repair shops will not work on the camera because parts are difficult to obtain. I shoot the camera now in Aperture priority and use the exposure controls for shutter speed if I want to adjust it.

That discarded screen door sure brought back memories of the 1970s.

This screen door was outside an abandoned, foreclosed home. A little work and the home will sale for $600,000 or more. Screen doors kept everyone in touch with the neighborhood.
