A peculiar event occurred last Friday. We had bright sunshine in Olympia. There were still clouds in the sky, but they had to compete with the sun. At around 3 PM, I left my home and walked the neighborhood.

There were shadows everywhere. After days of cloudy days with intermittent rain, you forget the power of shadows in viewing your immediate surroundings.

In my backpack, I had the Nikon FM3a, with the Nikon Series E 50mm 1:1.8 lens attached. The camera was loaded with Fomapan 400, which I was going to shoot at box speed. Fomapan 400 is not on the list of films recommended to be developed in Diafine, so I was curious to see the results of using the developer without pushing the film.

This was the 13th roll of film I have developed in the same solution of Diafine.

Great to read and see the successful technical results. But it is also worth stating that you are a very fine photographer with a great eye for framing and capturing interesting, eclectic subjects. Cheers and all the best.
