It was a Saturday evening, around 6 PM. We had gotten a hotel room to sit out the next day, which was forecasted to be very windy, and driving and hiking would be very uncomfortable.

I got out the Nikon FM3a, loaded it with color film, and walked near the hotel.

The area was along US 395 and SR-136(CA). It included a small industrial park and an airport.

I could never imagine skydiving near Mt Whitney, the tallest mountain in the Lower 48.

I developed the film in Cinestill’s C-41 kit. I scanned the negatives with the PrimeFilmXE, using VueScan.

The sun finally set behind the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the West, leaving only the Inyo Mountains in sunlight.

Me.
