It was a cold day. The fog would appear and disappear. The temperature was 32℉ (0℃). A beautiful day.

I was hiking through a clear-cut. It has been several years since the trees were harvested. While the area still looks rough, there is still beauty. Many of the plants in the forest understory are enjoying the sun. In a few years, they will need to acclimate again to the limited light provided by the tall trees.

I developed the film with Cinestill’s C-41 developer. The images were scanned with the PrimeFilmXEs using Vue Scan. The camera I used was the Nikon F100. The lenses were the Nikon 50mm 1.8G, the Voigtlander Color Skopar 28mm F2.8, and the Nikon 85mm 1.8D Lens. As I left the area, I drove past a small parking area at a trailhead I was unaware of. I stopped and investigated.

Soft mellow light. I like color work under these conditions. We’ll done.

Lovely captures. I did recently buy a bunch of bone dry dried Autumn leaves of the Maple shape/kind off eBay. This was in order to photograph them for the Frail Autumn CD music artwork project. So did smile at that beautiful ‘frail leaf’ close up photograph you caught. That’s great inspiration for me.
Cheers and all the best Steven.
