A couple of days ago I went to Capitol Hill. I stood against the wall on E. Pine Street at the corner of 10th Avenue. I took my Nikon Df and put a 50mm 1.8 Series E Lens on it. I stopped down the lens to F11 and shot at a shutter speed of 1/500 to 1/1000 of a second. I was hoping to use zone focusing but found it was not working as well as I had hoped. I had to tweak it during each shot. Yes, there were lots of misses and not one was a perfect focus. I may use these parameters and shoot a similar sequence in other parts of the city.
