What would I do without wheat? I love bread. I eat it at breakfast, I eat it at lunch and dinner. I may eat vegetables or something else, but the bread will always be the main course. Olympia has several bakeries that bake it fresh in all sorts of varieties. I never buy it sliced. I just rip off a big chuck, get out the chocolate milk and have a party.

On Monday, the 28th of February, the Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) set up a booth at the State Capitol (the State Legislature is in session) to allow Lawmakers to receive information and also discuss some of the concerns of the Wheat Industry in the State. In 2020, 2.34 million acres of wheat were harvested, with a production value of $800 million. 90% of it is exported, mainly to Asian Countries, helping the State achieve a trade surplus.
